E3

Educate students on issues that affect them.
Empower students to make an impact on campus
Enhance the CSUN experience for each student

One administration can not solve all of the issues going on at CSUN, but it can definitely provide a foundation.  This is what our campaign is about.  E3 is a campaign that will set a strong foundation for the current and future CSUN students.  Among all the members of our slate, there is enough experience, diversity, and insight to understand the ins and outs of a typical CSUN student.  With this knowledge, we can educate students on issues that affect them, empower them to make and impact on campus, and over all enhance the CSUN experience for each student.

Our goals while in office:

Educate:

Our goal is to educate students about issues that affect them.  It is important that the all CSUN students are getting educated not only in the classrooms, but outside as well.  These issues range from state level issues such as tuition increases and budget cuts to campus issues like food service problems, high prices of books, and hours of operation.
We want to educate students about the multiple resources they have on campus.  Resources are available for all types of students.  For the student parent, A.S. Children Center is an on-campus day-car that is flexible for student hours.  For those who are looking for a job, there is the Career Center that will help you write your resume.  For those who need a computer, there is the USU computer lab where you can get free printing.  We will educate students on the many resources available to them.

Empower:

Our goal is to empower students to make an impact on campus.  Once educated on issues, we want CSUN students to be empowered.   We will provide opportunities for students to get their voices heard among the administration.  Students will have the opportunity to join university committees like The University Corporation to discuss about new developments going on in CSUN and the Academic Grievance Board to discuss grade disputes.
Students will also have the chance to get involved on campus through a variety of clubs and orgs.  These clubs and orgs often empower students to make a difference not just in their own community, but also in the CSUN community.  There are a variety of clubs and orgs that will be perfect for each person and allow them to use their leadership skills.
Through student advocacy, we will make the CSUN student voice heard on the state level as well.  We want each student to be able to advocate for their rights on the local and state level.  We will work with other Cal States and UCs to address issues regarding budget cuts and the increases in student fees.

Enhance:

Our goal is to enhance the CSUN experience for each student.  Once CSUN students are educated on the issues and empowered to make an impact on campus, the CSUN experience will be enhanced.  More student involvement within all parts of the university will create a more united university, enhancing the CSUN community.  There will be more school spirit in every aspect.  From CSUN sweaters within the classrooms to roaring CSUN students at our Basketball Games, Matador Spirit will be present.
This will create the sense of being at home in CSUN, making CSUN regionally focused and nationally recognized.
